Tales of Eternia - Completed

I had to import this in from the UK since its not released in the US (Namco us hates me). However this game is amazing, has awesome graphics, game play, storyline. The characters as always were well developed and the story was amazing. It kept me enthralled for a very long time. Animated cut sequences that give life to the game. The multitude if items and quests you can go on for a variety of things. The battle system unlike phantasia was more focused on melee then spell casting which I prefer.

I give this game 10 out of 10! My only and very small complaint is maneuvering the character during a few puzzles.

Time: 50 hours and 36 minutes

Encounters: 913

Combo: 31

Gald: 1,564,519

Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix - Completed

Tonight I went and had dinner with Brian OQuinn. He let me abuse his floor and work on this little Mario masterpiece. We took turns and I won the final bout against bowser. The songs even on hard were reminiscent of light modem on other DDR games. The difficulty is definitely lower then previous games of its genre.

I give it 8 out of 10, Game play was solid, and graphics were great music was good. But difficulty doesnt seem to give it lasting appeal and something inside me really wanted a variation of a Zelda song (there may be one that I havent unlocked, but I havent seen it yet) and other Nintendo classics. But that would have been called DDR: Nintendo mix, not Mario.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories - Completed

This is the first game I have completed for PSP. With over 10 hours of game play and the solid core of the GTA series it was enjoyable. Price was $39.99 which seemed silly a week later when the game came out for $20 on the PS2. But you pay for portability (cough yea right DS cough).

What sets this apart from the other GTA games is the mission though sometimes similar were never really the same. All of them seemed to have there own flare and unique strategies that had to be employed to complete them.

Give this an 8/10, the only con was trying to aim the sniper rifle with the very touchy analog stick of the PSP and well the price.

Half Life 2: Episode 1 - Completed

Valve has brought us another 3-4 hours of game play following the Half Life 2 story line. The game play was solid with obstacles that are new to the series. There is still jumping and killing of course. But with a few more puzzles (i.e.: the water is electrified what do you do to get across). The game is $20 and supposable does not require H2 in order to play. My suggestion is to play H2 first in order to even understand who the funny guy in the suit is at the beginning. Otherwise the story will mean nothing to you. Not to spoil things but I could have done with out Alyx chomping at the bit talking the entire episode. But you get use to it, the nice feature is you dont have to worry about Alyx. Her pathing is perfect, she wont get caught on obstacles, etc etc. Its the best NPC assisted game play I have seen yet.

I give this a 9 out of 10, the game play could have been longer for the money. But I am a bitch to the half-life series and always will be.
